Our final home match saw us entertain the only team in our league that we had not beaten and the first half showed why, the boys really had to work hard to create chances and had to battle for every ball, the first goal was going to be very important after few clear cut chances we reached half time goalless. The second half started well for us and on 35 mins Tyler broke down right and won a corner, from the eresulting corner from Oliver Woolley Felix Saberton gave us the lead with a smart volleyed finish.

Our penultimate match of the season saw us host Weymouth youth, a side that have struggled all season due to lack of players although it was us who was struggling for players today as Lewis Harrington ( goalkeeper ) was taken ill only an hour before kick off. Josh Stanley & Oliver Cooper offered to do a half each in goal. After 6 mins Tyler Rudd rounded the keeper and was pulled down and we were awarded a penalty, Owen Stubbs who had not scored all season stepped up to blast the ball past the keeper.
Today saw us travel to Weymouth for the last time this season for our final away game against chickerel knowing that a win could confirm second place in the league. The boys were at it from the off and were pushing chickerel back constantly and after 10 mins of pressure we took the lead through a Fletcher Woodrow header, we continued to attack and the opposition keeper was doing well to keep it at 1-0.
On the day when Marcus ran the London marathon, we were scheduled to play early season pacesetters Lilliput. With only 10 mins until kick off we had no opposition or referee, due to this we kicked off late and unfortunately Lilliput only had 7 players, the pattern for the match was soon set as we started on the front foot and scored our first on 4 minutes when Oli woolley's cross were converted by Tyler Rudd, on 8 mins it was Oli's turn as his cross went straight in.
Our third away fixture in a row saw us travel to Portland today to play against the side one place above us in the table, after playing in our red kit last week we reverted to our usual yellow kit ( all except Ryan corrick ). We were missing usual right back Owen Stubbs through illness and also had two players with us that were also suffering with illness.
Today we travelled to Redlands in Weymouth to play 2nd place Weymouth cougars who have been unbeaten all season. As always in Weymouth the wind was blowing and the temperature was about 5 degrees lower than in Upton. We lost the toss and the opposition captain decided that we would play with the wind in the first half.
The boys were issued a challenge today and that was to bounce back from our heaviest defeat of the season ! We started in the same manner as we did last week with some good football being played by the whole team, the first real chance fell to Tyler Rudd but his effort was straight at the goalkeeper who collected the shot, after 12 mins parkstone took the lead after we had made all the early running, Marcus and I were intrigued to see how this would affect the boys.
After a good win the previous week, it was important for the boys to keep the momentum going with a good performance against a very tall branksome side, the game started very well and we carved out numerous opportunities after some very good football from the boys, however with halftime approaching branksome had there first opportunity of the game and they undeservedly took the lead.
After a very disappointing 0 - 0 draw against parkstone hawks last weeks Marcus and I were hoping that this weeks game would be a chance for the boys to redeem themselves, Unfortunately at 7.30 on Saturday evening I received a phone call to say that due to an administrative error our game was off ! Not willing to accept this me,mike fudge and Nikki Ackrell put our heads together and found another venue, Lytchett primary school.
This week saw the boys in a cup game against Rossgarth who are 4th in the top bournemouth league, this would be a good test for the boys. New signing Felix saberton made his debut all the better as we lost Ryan corrick to a sickness bug.
